These are excellent! What are they done for? A field guide? Or for your own purposes. I'm the head illustrator for iBird (a field guide App for iPad/iPhone etc) so I know how much work has gone into these, wonderful!

yeah, all done in Photoshop, I just esed the .psd files to the publisher via dropbox, its really easy. How long does it take you to do each bird? Have you tried doing birds on their own? With a branch and some leaves maybe?

Very good indeed that solo piece, (sorry, been away) I may have some illustration work coming up soon, any interest in helping me with it? I gotta tell you the money ain't much, but could be some good publicity

Actually, I initially worked on each bird as a stand alone (about 3000x2000 px each) and it took on average 2-3 days per bird (already had the documentation gathered prior to it). Not quite satisfied with the rendering hence the idea of assembling them into a plate. Haha.

Yep, I have some in my gallery although they were done using traditional medium. [link]

Thanks. ^^ Done for my own purpose, still training to put in place a methodology to work faster on that sort of plates. I should check your gallery, I don't think I've ever seen a field guide in pixel art (I'm assuming that's the case for mobile phones).
